How to reach Bovec
If you are arriving from Lake Bled, Bohinj area:
Bohinj – Bled – motorway until Jesenice zahod, here leave the motorway (do NOT go into Karavanka tunnel!) – Kranjska Gora go straight (if you go up to Vršič Pass please calculate with 1 extra hour driving and 50 curves up-down to the highest pass of Slovenia) – Ratece – Tarvisio (Italy) – Predel Pass – Bovec

Also good to know:
– Road through the Vršič Pass: The Vršič Pass (pass between Kranjska Gora and Bovec) is the highest pass in Slovenia with a height of 1611 m, 50 sharp turns up and down, you drive through the Triglav National Park, we recommend this route only if you are not in a hurry .
–Traffic jam on the Slovenian motorway in July and August. If you are driving through Slovenia on the highway and plan to exit at Jesenice, the nearby Slovenian-Austrian border control and the Karavanka tunnel in front of it can cause traffic jams that can last all the way to Jesenice exit. It is worth getting off at Jesenice vzhod exit and driving through Jesenice, or even driving from Bled on the country road instead of the highway, because the traffic jam can take hours, especially in the afternoon (google maps indicates traffic jams in red).

About Soča Rider Rafting Base:
Our base is equipped with:
– with a dressing room
– with toilet
– bike storage
– if you arrive early, you can wait for the start of your tour on our comfortable couches in the cool, and eat your own snack
– it is possible to leave your dog there meanwhile you raft, the dog must be in a lockable dog box, it is possible that she/he will be alone (it is cool at our base)
Our base does not offer:
– to take a shower
– to buy food and drinks
– to recharge your electric car
Parking at Soča Rider Rafting Base
Our base has its own parking lot, which our guests can use free of charge during the tour. At the end of the tour, we kindly ask you, do not leave your car in our parking lot if you have not discussed this with us previously!
Parking: Please park your car in our own gravel parking lot (surrounded by a small green wooden fence) located in front of our building.
Attention: if you arrive with a mobilehome (caravan) or have a trailer with you, please contact us, because we have limited parking spaces!
What to bring, what we give you
Please don’t forget to bring:
- swimsuit, (if you can already wear it under your normal clothes, when you arrive, it will make the preparation quicker)
- DRY UNDERWEAR to wear after activity, (we kindly ask you to sit into our vans only in dry clothes)
- towel,
- strap for glasses, sunglasses
We will provide all of the necessary equipment for your trip:
- neoprene suit,
- neoprene shoes,
- neoprene or splash jacket,
- buoyancy aid,
- helmet.
Weather
For Bovec and the Soča valley, it is not worth looking at the weather forecast more than 3-4 days in advance, because it will not be realistic, it may even be the complete opposite of what is predicted. The surrounding mountais and proximity to the sea can affect the weather.

We always hope for a nice sunny weather!
The tour goes also in rainy weather, as you will get wet anyway. We provide weather-appropriate clothing for the tour so, no one gets cold!
We do not cancel tours due to rainy weather.
Payment
You can pay the balance or the full amount before the tour in euros or in cash, unfortunately we do not accept bank card payments in our office.
If you want to settle the balance by bank transfer, please contact us in time, the amount must arrive in our account before the tour starts.
(Attention! There is no cash flow in Slovenia on weekends and holidays)
